Policies: Your Guide to WebPsych's Ethical and Legal Practices

Welcome to the Policies page of WebPsych, a Telehealth clinical psychology initiative by Delta Psychology. Here, we outline the key policies that govern our practice, ensuring transparency, ethical standards, and legal compliance.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Confidentiality is paramount in any psychological service, and WebPsych is no exception. All interactions, both online and offline, are kept strictly confidential in accordance with Australian privacy laws. Our Telehealth sessions are conducted via secure, encrypted platforms to maintain your privacy.

Informed Consent

Before commencing any therapeutic interventions, you will be asked to sign an informed consent form. This ensures that you are fully aware of the process, risks, and benefits involved in the therapy.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life is unpredictable. However, we kindly ask for at least 24-hours notice for cancellations. Failing to do so may result in a cancellation fee, as outlined in the initial agreement.

Data Security

Your personal and medical information is stored securely in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles. Access to this information is strictly controlled and limited to authorized personnel only.

Billing and Payment

For those eligible for bulk-billing through a GP-issued care-plan, there will be no out-of-pocket expenses. For other clients, payment details will be discussed during the initial consultation. Please refer to our 'Insurance & Billing' page for more information.

Telehealth Platform Requirements

To access our Telehealth services, you will need a stable internet connection and a device with audio and video capabilities. Ensure you are in a private, quiet space during sessions to maintain confidentiality and effectiveness of the therapy.

Client Responsibilities

As a client, you are responsible for ensuring your own privacy during Telehealth sessions, and for informing your therapist if you believe your privacy has been compromised in any way.

Complaints and Grievances

We are committed to providing high-quality psychological services. If you have any complaints or concerns, please direct them to our clinical director, following the procedure outlined in your initial agreement.
